Man In Elf Costume Tells Santa He Has Dynamite

A normally nice holiday moment turned ugly at an Atlanta-area mall Wednesday night. The "Atlanta Journal Constitution" reports that William Caldwell was arrested after he allegedly told a man dressed as Santa Claus that he was carrying dynamite. Caldwell, who was reportedly dressed as an elf, waited in line at the Southlake Mall to have his picture taken with Santa. When he finally reached the front of the line, the 45-year-old allegedly told St. Nick that he had dynamite. The man in the Santa suit notified mall security and Caldwell was arrested. Police never found explosives, but the mall remained closed the rest of the evening. Caldwell is being held in Clayton County Jail on several charges including making terroristic threats and simple assault.
