Garth Brooks Heads to Vegas!!

Garth Brooks is making his performance comeback Friday night with the launch of his five-year engagement at the Encore Theater at the Wynn Las Vegas. Under his deal with Las Vegas developer Steve Wynn the singer will be playing 15 weekends a year, including one show on Fridays, two on Saturdays, and one on Sundays. The solo acoustic concert is described as a walk through the country superstar's musical journey, and Brooks has promised that no two performances will ever be the same. He has also said that he wouldn't always perform alone. Brooks has admitted that his wife Trisha Yearwood will most likely make many guest appearances, and that he'll be welcoming friends to join him at select shows. He has also suggested that some dates might feature him with his band.

Brooks, who retired from showbusiness in 2001 to dedicate himself to his now-teenage daughters, announced his return to the stage back In October. His first five shows this weekend are his only 2009 dates. His next set of shows begin on New Year's Day. Additional information is available online at www.GarthBrooksLasVegas.net.
