TRANSPORTATION, MEALS BIGGEST THANKSGIVING EXPENSES

Going away for Thanksgiving? How much do you expect to spend? According to a recent AAA poll, it'll cost each traveling family an average of 718-dollars for the trip. Nearly a third of that money is going to transportation expenses, while food and drinks will eat up 21-percent of the money. Folks anticipate dropping about 115-dollars -- or roughly 16-percent -- shopping. Another ten-percent will go to entertainment, while five-percent will likely be consumed by miscellaneous things. Since many Thanksgiving travelers are specifically heading out to visit family or friends, lodging isn't taking up much of the budget, and just under 16-percent of the money will go to accommodations.
