Gloriana Joining White House Celebration Of Motown

Gloriana will be showing their diversity with a special performance -- for a special audience. The country group has been tapped to participate in an upcoming tribute event in Washington, DC honoring Motown. Gloriana will be joining Motown legend Smokey Robinson for "The Motown Sound: In Performance at the White House," while other stars including Sheryl Crow, John Legend, Jamie Foxx, and Natasha Bedingfield are also slated to perform. Gloriana's Tom Gossin says the group is thrilled to be involved in the show, noting, quote, "It's such an honor to be asked to be a part of this celebration of Motown, especially at the White House in front of The President and First Lady." He adds, quote, "I think this will go down as one of the coolest things we have done to date." "The Motown Sound: In Performance at the White House" is an event celebrating Black History Month. The concert will take place on February 24th. PBS will tape the show, which will air on March 1st.
