61-Year-Old Becomes Oldest Woman To Give Birth In Chicago

(Chicago, IL) -- A 61-year-old Chicago woman is the oldest woman in city history to give birth. Kristine Casey gave birth to her own grandson last Wednesday at Prentice Women's Hospital in Chicago. Casey served as surrogate for her 35-year-old daughter, Sara, who had suffered from infertility issues for years. Doctors say hormone supplementation helped Casey carry little Finnean a full term, without complications.
