Tim McGraw Not Disappointed By "Country Strong" Golden Globe Snub

Tim McGraw says he doesn't mind that his film "Country Strong" didn't receive much recognition from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. At a screening of the film in Los Angeles Tuesday night McGraw told "Access Hollywood" he wasn't disappointed with the results -- and he's flattered that some people believe the movie was snubbed. The country singer explained that when it comes to his acting, quote, "I just want to do good work, you know, and work with great people and find great material, just like when I'm doing music. You know, I just want to find the best stuff that I can find and be a part of it." "Country Strong," which stars Gwyneth Paltrow along with McGraw, opens in limited release on December 22nd. The film will hit theaters nationwide on January 7th.

"Country Strong" only received one nomination for the upcoming Golden Globe Awards, for Best Original Song - Motion Picture with the track "Coming Home." The 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards will be presented in a ceremony in Beverly Hills on January 16th, and air live on NBC at 8:00 p.m. Eastern, 5:00 p.m. Pacific time.
