Taylor Swift will close 2010 on a very high note. "Entertainment Weekly" magazine has named the country-pop crossover star the 2010 Entertainer of the Year. With the nod, Swift's getting the cover of the publication's December 10th issue. Swift is the youngest star ever to receive the "Entertainment Weekly" honor and those with the magazine note she deserves it, saying, quote, "From an Album of the Year Grammy to the mega-hit 'Speak Now,' our Entertainer of the Year earned a career's worth of commercial and critical success -- in just 12 short months." The December 10th issue of "Entertainment Weekly" featuring Taylor is now available on newsstands.
Swift's album "Speak Now" has reclaimed the number one position on Billboard's Country Albums chart and holds the number four spot on the all-genre Billboard 200. Sales over the past week totaled to 241-thousand, while over one-point-nine-six million copies of "Speak Now" have been sold since the CD hit stores five weeks ago. Taylor's latest single from the disc, "Back to December," is climbing both the country and pop music charts. The entertainer also has another milestone to celebrate -- this time in the digital world -- as more than one-million unique visitors checked out www.taylorswift.com in November. In addition, Swift has over four-point-seven million Twitter followers and more than 14-million Facebook friends.
