Sugarland Thrilled To Salute The Troops With Special USO-VH1 Show

Sugarland is doing their part to support American troops and their families this weekend. The duo will be part of the TV special "VH1 Divas Salute the Troops." Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush are joining Katy Perry, Keri Hilson and Nicki Manaj in filming a performance for thousands of military men and women at San Diego's Marine Corps Air Station Miramar. The duo teased the show via Twitter on Thursday. They note in one post, quote, "Just started @VH1_Divas rehearsal in San Diego, and there's a special guest rapper waiting in the wings to run thru "Stuck Like Glue"...," while another tweet says, quote, "Now there's a horn section on stage for our @VH1_Divas rehearsal of a classic diva tune... Any guesses?" They add, quote, "We loved our rehearsal audience! So thrilled to be playing #VH1Divas in support of these troops." They also have links to photos from the event.

In addition to the music, "VH1 Divas Salute the Troops" will feature commentary from the troops stationed on the front lines and exclusive USO tour clips shot overseas, along with footage from the rock band Paramore's visit with Marines, soldiers, airmen, sailors, and others stationed at an undisclosed Middle East military base. VH1 will debut "VH1 Divas Salute the Troops" on December 5th at 9:00 p.m. Eastern.
