Swift, Lady A, Underwood, Aldean, Zac Brown Band Receiving CMT Honor

Taylor Swift, Lady Antebellum, Carrie Underwood, Jason Aldean, and Zac Brown Band are being honored by CMT. The country stars have been tapped as the network's inaugural "CMT Artists of the Year" honorees. They were chosen for the recognition based on a variety of factors, including music and concert ticket sales, radio airplay, and Internet searches. Darius Rucker, Luke Bryan, and Martina McBride are among those taking part in the "CMT Artists of the Year" salute. Rucker is one of the performers on board for the show, while Bryan and McBride have been tapped to be presenters. In addition Randy Travis, Alabama's Randy Owen, and Kid Rock are some of the other artists taking part in the celebration. The 90-minute "CMT Artists of the Year" will have its debut on CMT Friday night.
