Police Pull Guns On Boy While He Plays In Yard

Police in Australia made an embarrassing mistake earlier this month. According to the "Northern Territory News," authorities pulled their guns on 12-year-old Tom Herbert after they thought they saw him hiding behind a fence with a rifle. It turns out he was just playing in a yard with a broken curtain pole that had black duct tape. At least five officers reported to the scene before it was eventually determined that Herbert wasn't a threat. While he wasn't arrested, Herbert had to be taken to the hospital to be treated for shock.
