Survey Says: MOST AMERICANS WILL BAKE FOR THE HOLIDAYS

The majority of Americans plan to bake this holiday season. According to the Crisco Cookie Central online survey, 71-percent of adults expect to fire up their ovens to make cookies, with folks on average anticipating baking eight-dozen cookies. Among women, 31-percent say the biggest benefit to baking cookies is getting the chance to share them with family and friends, but 43-percent of men say what they like most about home-baked cookies is being able to eat them hot out of the oven. Just who's first to get their hands in the cookie jar depends on if there are kids at home. Among the adults polled who don't have children living with them, half admitted they're the first to reach for a fresh-baked cookie. Among those with children, 40-percent note it's the kids who are taking the first cookie, while 33-percent confess they're still the first to try the cookies.
