Madonna Sends Christmas Gifts To Malawi Orphans

It looks like Madonna got in touch with her inner-Santa Claus this Christmas. People.com reports that the 52-year-old star sent boxes of treats to children at six orphanages that she supports financially in Malawi over the holiday season. Packages containing chocolate, clothes, toys, and other gifts were shipped to the children. Enclosed was a handwritten note from The Material Girl which read, quote, "To my Malawi children on Christmas and Boxing Day. I wish I was with you. See you soon M." However, that wasn't Madonna's only gesture of generosity in the African country. At a neighboring orphanage called Consol Homes, the pop star hosted an open-air party. Orphans and underprivileged children who registered with the Consol Homes center received clothing.
