CBS To Air Kennedy Center Honors Tonight

Media mogul Oprah Winfrey, singer-songwriter Paul McCartney and country great Merle Haggard were among the elite group of honorees honored at the Kennedy Center earlier this month and tonight, CBS has all the highlights. The event, which also honored composer and lyricist Jerry Herman and choreographer and director Bill T. Jones, included appearances by Alec Baldwin, No Doubt, Dave Grohl, Steven Tyler, Norah Jones and others. The Kennedy Center Honors recognize recipients for their lifetime contributions to American culture through the performing arts. Honorees are selected by the Center's Board of Trustees. CBS will broadcast taped highlights of the gala performance tonight, starting at 9:00 pm Eastern.
