Johnny Cash Video Director Honored By Grammy Nomination

The director of the interactive "Ain't No Grave/Johnny Cash Project" is thrilled to be a GRAMMY nominee. Chris Milk's efforts have earned him a bid for Best Short Form Music Video. The clip was derived from fan-created art strung together as an homage to the late musician, which Milk put to Cash's single, "Ain't No Grave." Milk says, quote, "This nomination is really a testament to Johnny and the impact he had on people around the world. It was through the amazing artistry and generosity of Johnny Cash fans that this video came to fruition. Through their love and creativity, they give Johnny the eternal life he sings about in 'Ain't No Grave.' They have created an ever-changing and constantly growing living portrait of the man we all loved so dearly. Everyone involved in the project is truly honored by the Recording Academy's nomination."

Milk adds that in a perfect world, not only would "Ain't No Grave/The Johnny Cash Project" win, but there would be GRAMMY statues for the thousands of people who contributed to the ongoing effort.
