ACM Planning Awards Show, "Girls Night Out" Special

Plans are now under way for next year's Academy of Country Music Awards. The annual event is once again slated to take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, with the trophies scheduled to be handed out on Sunday, April 3rd. The ceremony will air live on CBS starting at 8:00 p.m. Eastern, with the tape-delayed broadcast starting at 8:00 p.m. Pacific time. The following night -- Monday, April 4th -- country stars will converge once again on the MGM Grand to tape the CBS TV special "Girls' Night Out: Superstar Women of Country." Details on participants for the two events haven't been revealed, and nominees for the 46th annual ACM Awards haven't been announced yet. Tickets for both shows will go on sale on January 19th. Money raised from "Girls Night Out" ticket sales will go to the ACM's charity ACM Lifting Lives.
