Drew Brees Named SI's Sportsman Of The Year

(New York, NY) -- New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees is the 2010 "Sports Illustrated's" Sportsman of the Year. The annual honor is given to the athlete who excels in endeavors both on and off the field. Brees led the Saints to their first Super Bowl title last season. He was named the Super Bowl 44 MVP after New Orleans beat the Indianapolis Colts 31-17 in Miami. He also established The Brees Dream Foundation to support cancer research and the education of children in need. The foundation also aids in civic recovery, as the Big Easy continues to rebound from the effects of Hurricane Katrina.
