Rascal Flatts' Jay DeMarcus Now A Dad
Rascal Flatts' Jay DeMarcus now has one more thing in common with his band mates -- he's a dad, too. DeMarcus and his wife, Allison, became first-time parents with the birth of their daughter on Friday. Little Madeline Leigh, who wasn't expected until after the first of the year, weighed in at six-pounds, nine ounces. DeMarcus notes in a statement that both he and Allison "are thrilled!" He adds, quote, "Madeline is absolutely gorgeous. She looks just like her daddy! Both mom and baby are doing well." DeMarcus is the last member of Rascal Flatts to enter the ranks of fatherhood. The band's Gary LeVox has two little girls -- ten-year-old Brittany and six-year-old Brooklyn. Joe Don Rooney is the dad to two-and-a-half-month-old son Jagger Donovan and baby daughter Raquel Blue, who was born in September.
It's Now Three Boys For Josh Turner
Josh Turner is adding another boy to his clan. The singer's wife, Jennifer, gave birth to their third son last Monday. Crawford Marion Turner measured 19-inches long and tipped the scales at six-pounds, 15-ounces when he was born. Turner notes, quote, "Jennifer and I are overjoyed at Marion's arrival." He adds that his son is, quote, "a strong, handsome little boy with a resilient spirit. Thanks to all of our family, friends and fans for their thoughts and prayers." The Turner family also includes four-year-old Hampton Otis and 18-month-old Colby Lynch.
