Taylor Swift, Lady A Among AMA Winners

The praise keeps coming for Taylor Swift. The singer was named Favorite Country Female Artist at the 38th annual American Music Awards. In accepting her award during ABC's broadcast of the ceremony, Swift said knowing who to thank was simple. Swift also performed at the event, singing "Back To December." Lady Antebellum entered the ceremony a top nominee with five chances to win, and didn't go home empty handed. The trio received their first career American Music Award, getting the nod for Favorite Country Band, Duo, or Group. Lady A was a participant in the ceremony as well, presenting the Favorite Soul/R&B Male Artist award to Usher. The Band Perry was also a presenter, handing out the trophy for Favorite Adult Contemporary Artist, while Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood are also winners. Teen pop star Justin Bieber was the big winner, taking four awards including the top prize of Artist of the Year. The 38th annual American Music Awards took place in Los Angeles and aired on ABC Sunday night.
