No Cheerleaders, No Football

(Groton, MA) -- Despite qualifying for local post-season play, the sixth and eighth-grade football teams in the Groton-Dunstable school district of Massachusetts can't compete in regional play-offs because they have no cheerleaders. The New England Conference of the American Youth Football League has a bylaw requiring teams to have cheerleading squads. In fact, New England is the only conference with such a requirement and now a lawyer with the national AYFL wants to know why.
