"Dancing's" Smirnoff Sparkling With Engagement Diamond
ABC "Dancing With The Stars" pro Karina Smirnoff is not dancing around any questions about the sparkling rock she's sporting on her left hand ring finger. Smirnoff is engaged. The ballroom dance professional told People.com over the weekend that she and baseball player Brad Penny are planning to make it official, even dishing on how the MLB pitcher made his marriage pitch on October 4th after a year of dating. Smirnoff says, quote, "He got down on one knee and he opened the box and I said 'Thank you.'" The engagement ring, a four-point-five carat Asscher Cut diamond, is reportedly worth 100-thousand-dollars. Smirnoff was recently eliminated from "Dancing With The Stars" with her celebrity dance partner Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino of MTV's "Jersey Shore."
