Jackson Kids: Michael Was "The Best Dad Ever"

Michael Jackson's children say the pop star was a good father and a good cook. In a rare television interview that aired Monday on "The Oprah Winfrey Show," Jackson's 12-year-old daughter Paris told Oprah, quote, "I kind of felt like no one understood what a good father he was. I'd say he was the best cook ever," adding that Michael made "the best" French Toast and breakfasts. The interview also featured Jackson's sons 13-year-old Prince Michael who admitted to enjoying video games and sports, and eight-year-old Prince Michael II, also known as "Blanket." When Winfrey asked the children what they missed most about their dad, Paris responded saying, "everything." Their grandmother, Katherine Jackson, told Oprah she has been trying to give the children as normal a life as possible in the year since Michael's death, enrolling the two older children in private school.

Earlier in the interview, Katherine also shared with Oprah how she learned of her son's death on the day she called the worst day of her life. The Jackson matriarch said it was the singer's doctor, Dr. Conrad Murray, who actually broke the news to her. Murray is charged with involuntary manslaughter in connection to Jackson's death. He is scheduled to appear on court for preliminary hearing on January 4th.
