Unusual Rescue For Police Sergeant
(Salem, NH) -- A New Hampshire police sergeant had a rescue call on his hands but the victim was a snake. Sergeant Mike Wagner was called to condominium complex after someone spotted a six-foot boa constrictor in the grass outside the complex. Wagner was dispatched and saw the snake fully extended in the grass. It was cold and wet and barely moved as Wagner picked it up by grabbing the head and body. He said he saw an officer do that on the television show "Cops." The snake is now recovering from malnourishment at Zoo Creatures in Plaistow, and will stay there if no one claims to have lost it.
