Store Owner Chases Off Robber With A Beer Can

(Clermont County, OH) -- An Ohio store clerk used a can of beer to chase off an armed robber. Clermont County Sheriff's officials say they received a 911 call earlier this week from Dave's Grocery on U.S. Route 50 in Marathon. The store's owner, Narendra "Goppi" Patel, said he was closing up for the night when a robber entered the store and pointed a gun at him. He told Patel to put all the money on the counter. Patel had a six-pack of beer on the counter, so he took a single can and threw it at the robber, knocking his hat off. The suspect ran out of the store.
