Reba Welcomes Special Guests At Nashville Show

Ronnie Dunn hasn't waited long to make a post-Brooks & Dunn concert appearance. The singer joined Reba McEntire at her concert in Nashville Saturday night. About two-thirds into the set, Reba's band played the opening chords of "Cowgirls Don't Cry" and a spotlight was directed to the side of the stage to reveal Dunn walking out with a guitar strapped on. He sang the first two verses with Reba joining him for the final chorus before he left to thunderous applause. The performance was a pay-back for Reba's appearance ten days ago at Brooks & Dunn's final Last Rodeo show. But Dunn wasn't the only special guest. Actress-comedian Melissa Peterman also stepped up to join Reba for "I'm a Survivor," the theme to Reba's sitcom which also featured Peterman. The two traded jokes for about five minutes before Reba sang the song, with Melissa mouthing the words alongside her.

Reba's concert was part of her tour with George Strait and Lee Ann Womack. The show was a make-good date for a missed concert back in April that was rescheculed because George developed some vocal problems. But Strait was in good voice Saturday. He performed a solid 90-minute show, then played a 20-minute encore that included the Johnny Cash classic "Folsom Prison Blues."
