(Burien, WA) -- A dog is credited with helping a Seattle area family avoid a house fire. The family's Chihuahua barked loudly enough to awake family members Monday morning at the home in Burien. The fire started in the garage but did not reach the house and the three occupants escaped without injury. The fire's cause remains under investigation and a damage estimate has not been released.
