Report: TV Execs Wary About Johnston Reality Show
Hollywood is apparently wary of a reality TV show centered around Levi Johnston, the man who almost became former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin's son-in-law. HollywoodReporter.com quotes unnamed television executives who say they have limited interest in "Loving Levi: The Road to the Mayor's Office." "Loving Levi" is a series about the Alaska native's attempt to run for office in Wasilla. One executive said of the Johnston series, quote, "I'm just incredibly uninterested. We've seen him naked. We've heard him bash the Palins. What more is there that we need to know? He's a cute kid but not the most interesting person to watch." A cable TV decision-maker described Levi as, quote, "Jon Gosselin with abs." A third TV insider told HollywoodReporter.com, quote, "He just doesn't pop; he's not an interesting character. He doesn't have a lot to say, no matter what his name is."
"Loving Levi" producer Scott Stone says he's gotten the opposite response. Stone claims that the series has early interest. Filming of the show began in Los Angeles this week before it heads north to Alaska.
