Randy Houser's Strategy For Dealing With Telemarketers

Randy Houser says he no longer lets telemarketers annoy him. He tells TheBoot.com he does the annoying instead. The singer explains his technique, noting, quote, "When they call you, and they start asking you questions, you just turn it right around. They'll ask you something, and you say, 'I'm not interested, but let me ask you a few questions: I've got this new microwave...how do you set the timer on those things?'" He says at that point they're trying to hang up with him, but he won't let them go. He notes it's a lot of fun to "flip it right around on them," adding that after they've tried to keep him on the line he gets a real kick hearing them try to end the call. But telemarketers might have a hard time catching Houser at home this fall. He'll be busy promoting his new CD "They Call Me Cadillac," which will be released September 21st.
