Nominees For CMA Awards To Be Revealed With Two Days Of Events
Dierks Bentley, Miranda Lambert, Chris Young, Justin Moore, and Steel Magnolia will be helping the Country Music Association in the coming weeks with the unveiling of nominees for the upcoming 44th annual CMA Awards. Young and Moore have been tapped to reveal the lists of hopefuls in select categories at a press conference at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium on August 31st. The same day, Steel Magnolia will announce the finalists in the CMA Awards' broadcasting categories. A day later -- on September 1st -- Bentley and Lambert will make a special appearance on ABC's "Good Morning America" to name the contenders in the remaining categories. Their announcement is scheduled for the 8:30 a.m. segment of the show. Later that morning, at 11:00 a.m. Eastern, CMT will present "CMT Insider Special Edition: 2010 CMA Awards Nominations" which will provide an overview of all the nominees. The 44th annual CMA Awards will take place in Nashville, airing on ABC on November 10th.
The CMA Awards' nominee announcement on "GMA" will also serve to promote the TV special "CMA Music Festival: Country's Night to Rock." Tim McGraw will host the three-hour broadcast showcasing highlights from this year's CMA Music Fest, which took place in Nashville back in June. "CMA Music Festival: Country's Night to Rock" will debut on ABC September 1st at 8:00 p.m. Eastern.
