Blake Shelton Feeling More Confident In His Career

Blake Shelton says he's a lot more comfortable in his career these days. He tells TheBoot.com that things are very different for him now than they were just a few years ago. The singer admits that when he was about to put out the single "Home," he still felt like he had something to prove -- and he felt a lot of pressure to succeed. But Shelton says he doesn't have that type of stress in his career anymore. The country star explains, quote, "Not to sound cocky, but the last few singles going so well kinda makes you take a deep breath and go, 'OK, I know things are going well enough that they're at least gonna give this next one a shot.'"
"Home," which went to number one on the chart, became the first in a string of hits for Shelton. His follow up, "She Wouldn't Be Gone," also topped the chart, while "I'll Just Hold On" peaked in the top ten at number eight. Shelton then teamed up with Trace Adkins for "Hillbilly Bone," which also went to number one and gave Blake his first Academy of Country Music Award. Shelton is once again at the top of the charts with "All About Tonight."
