Brad Paisley Amazed With How Far He's Gone As A Country Singer

Brad Paisley has now headlined a stadium concert, and he says he's amazed at the experience. The singer notes that he'd always aspired to be a touring musician, and admits he's shocked at just how far he's been able to go with his career.Paisley had top billing for the 7th Annual New England Country Music Festival, which took place at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts last Saturday. Sara Evans, Jason Aldean, Darius Rucker, and Easton Corbin were also part of the show, which marked Paisley's debut as a stadium headliner. The show was part of Paisley's current "H2O Tour," which will continue with a concert in Charlotte, North Carolina on Friday.

Little Big Town's New CD Hits Stores Today

Little Big Town's new CD is finally in stores with the release of "The Reason Why." The project is the group's first full set of new studio material in nearly three years. Singer Karen Fairchild says the band took their time on the project because they were focused on crafting a quality disc. Little Big Town's Jimi Westbrook adds that the group also spent time experimenting on "The Reason Why," which added to the lengthy duration between discs. "The Reason Why" is Little Big Town's follow up to 2007's "A Place To Land," which was reissued in 2008 with several new cuts. The new CD features the band's current single, "Little White Church."

Josh Turner, Martina McBride Among This Week's "Today" Co-Hosts

More country stars are headed to NBC's "Today." Josh Turner is slated to serve as a co-host on the morning program on Friday. While on the show he'll also entertain viewers with a song. Turner says he's excited about the appearance, noting, quote, "I'm really looking forward to performing 'All Over Me' and co-hosting with Hoda. I've always had fun appearing on the 'Today' show." Blake Shelton launched "Today's" week of country music co-stars, who are at the helm of the show with Hoda Kotb for an hour starting at 10:00 a.m. Eastern. Martina McBride will have her turn Tuesday. During her time on the show she's expected to discuss her life and career, as well as her work with Cheerios on a campaign promoting heart disease awareness and prevention. John Rich will be a "Today" co-host on Wednesday, and Trisha Yearwood is on board for Thursday's show.

Luke Bryan Earns Second Gold Digital Single

Luke Bryan is seeing "Rain is a Good Thing" follow in the footsteps of "Do I." "Rain" has been certified a Gold digital single for reaching the 500-thousand mark in purchased downloads. With the accomplishment "Rain is a Good Thing" is matching the success of its predecessor. Before "Rain," which spent two weeks at number one on the chart, "Do I" was Bryan's first chart-topping hit. That song was also his first to become a Gold digital single. Both songs are from Bryan's sophomore CD, the 2009 release "Doin' My Thing." Bryan has been supporting the project on the road. He'll be performing in Boise, Idaho on Wednesday. Later this fall Bryan will open shows on Jason Aldean's Wide Open Tour.

Country Stars Featured On Fundraising CD Supporting Hospitalized Troops

Blake Shelton, Reba McEntire, Brad Paisley, and Trace Adkins are among the stars featured in the new compilation "My Country: Smash Hits," which arrives in stores today. Shelton's "Home," Reba's "I'll Be," and Paisley's "We Danced" join Big & Rich's "Lost in This Moment," Keith Urban's "Better Life," Lady Antebellum's "Love Don't Live Here," and Randy Houser's "Boots On" in the collection. Songs from Montgomery Gentry, Rascal Flatts, and Rodney Atkins are also featured, along with tracks by Darius Rucker, Dierks Bentley, and Jypsi. Adkins' "Til The Last Shot's Fired" completes the set, which is part of an ongoing series of charity CDs. This album is supporting the Fisher House Foundation, which provides a home to families of members of the military -- both active duty and retired -- who are being treated at military medical centers.

Charlie Daniels Announces Lineup For His "Christmas 4 Kids" Benefit

Charlie Daniels has asked some of his buddies to join him this fall for his annual Charlie Daniels Band & Friends Concert to benefit Christmas 4 Kids. Montgomery Gentry, Jake Owen and Sawyer Brown are on board with Charlie for the show, set for Nashville's Ryman Auditorium in November. In addition to the concert, the charity event includes a "Tour Bus Show/Artist Meet and Greet" which helps provide more than 400 children with a day-long shopping spree. On December 13th, kids will get a chauffeured trip from their school aboard an entertainer's tour bus, along with lunch and a party in the Nashville suburb of Hendersonville hosted by Santa and Mrs. Claus. The following day the children will go to the Hendersonville Wal-Mart where they'll receive 150-dollars in spending money. Ticket information on the show is available at www.christmas4kids.org. Charlie Daniels Band & Friends Concert will take place at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium on November 22nd.

Christmas 4 Kids is a not-for-profit organization that was established over 25 years ago, and each year provides underprivileged children with their own shopping excursion. Proceeds from the concert and the "Tour Bus Show/Artist Meet and Greet" fund the shopping trip.
