Kenny Chesney Planning 2011 Tour
Kenny Chesney will be returning to the road. The country superstar tells "Billboard" the planning has already begun, even though he won't be launching his trek for at least six months. He explains, quote, "If you go out like we do it, if we start in April or March, you can't wait until January to piece this together." The singer says he has a three-D rendering of the stage on his computer, which enables him to "look at it from all angles" so he can map out the sightlines. Chesney decided against launching a major tour in 2010, after seven consecutive years of headlining high-production treks. At the time he said he simply needed some time off to re-energize. He's spent his time making two films -- "Kenny Chesney: Summer in 3-D" and the football documentary "The Boys of Fall" -- as well as his next album, "Hemingway's Whiskey," which will be in stores September 28th. And a touring hiatus hasn't meant a break from performing. This year he's played several one-off shows and festival dates.
