Dustin Hoffman Joins The Cast Of "Little Fockers"

Veteran actor Dustin Hoffman is being added to the cast of "Little Fockers" just months before its scheduled December release. Hoffman was originally written out of the film, reportedly over money disagreements. Deadline.com reports that Hoffman now will reprise his Bernie Focker character in "pickups" or additional scenes for the third movie in the "Meet the Parents" franchise. Filming for the pickups will begin next month with Hoffman scheduled to act opposite Barbra Streisand, who plays his on screen wife Roz Focker. Hoffman and Streisand first appeared as the eccentric parents of Ben Stiller's Greg Focker character in the 2004 film, "Meet The Fockers."

"Little Fockers" will catch up with Greg -- and his wife Pamela Martha Focker -- as harried parents to twins. Teri Polo is reprising her role as Pam. Robert DeNiro and Blythe Danner will return as Pam's parents, Jack and Dina Byrnes. Jessica Alba, Owen Wilson, and Harvey Keitel are also in the ensemble cast. Universal has set a December 22nd, 2010 release date for the comedy.
