Andie MacDowell On Board For "Footloose" Remake

"Four Weddings and a Funeral" star Andie MacDowell is on board for a buzzed-about remake of the 1984 Kevin Bacon film "Footloose." EW.com's "Hollywood Insider" blog reports that MacDowell will play the role of Vi, the patient wife of small town Reverend Shaw Moore, rumored to be played this time around by Dennis Quaid. Diane Wiest and John Lithgow inhabited the characters in the original film. The remake's other cast members include "Dancing With The Stars" alum Julianne Hough, who will play Ariel, and newcomer Kenny Wormald as Ren. "Footloose" is due in theaters in 2011.
