Baltimore Man Fakes Seizures To Avoid Paying Restaurant Bill
A Baltimore man is heading behind bars for bailing on the bill at several local restaurants. The "Baltimore Sun" is reporting that Andrew Palmer pleaded guilty to one count of theft scheme on August 3rd, and received the maximum sentence of 18 months in jail. Between April 26 and July 21, the 43-year-old avoided paying for his meal by faking seizures. It has not been reported how investigators caught on to Palmer's plan. This isn't, however, the first time that the Maryland resident has been in trouble for failing to pay a bill. He's been convicted of theft or other crimes at least 34 times, with charges ranging from "eating in a public place without paying" to "refusing to pay taxi cab fare."
