Taylor Swift A Contender In "Time's" Most Influential People Poll
While Taylor Swift is no stranger to awards, she's now in the running for a rather unique honor. "Time" magazine is conducting a poll to find the top 100 most influential people in the world. The 2010 Time 100 Poll includes people in government, science, technology, sports, and the arts. The country-pop crossover sensation is among the musicians in the running, along with Lady Gaga, Prince, and Kanye West. The wide array of celebrities and well-known figures also up for consideration includes actors Clint Eastwood, Jeff Bridges, Betty White, Sandra Bullock, and Robert Pattinson; Apple founder Steve Jobs; evangelist Billy Graham; and Oprah Winfrey; as well as athletes Tiger Woods, Lindsey Vonn, Bode Miller, and Apolo Ohno; designer Vivienne Westwood, "American Idol" judge Simon Cowell; President Barack Obama; and Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi. The top rated influential icon will appear on the front cover of an upcoming issue of "Time." There's still time to weigh in with your choice. Fans can cast their vote until April 29th at Time.com.
