Joe Nichols Helps Launch 2010 Baseball Season
Joe Nichols is helping usher in the new baseball season. The country singer was in Phoenix Monday for the Arizona Diamondbacks' home opener. He sang two songs -- but not his latest hit, "Gimmie That Girl." Nichols performed the national anthem before the first pitch as part of a pre-game event that also honored the U.S. military, and included a fly-over by U.S. Air Force jets. Nichols, wearing the home team's jersey, also stood before the crowd to sing "God Bless America" during the seventh inning stretch, with a group of pilots by his side.
