Truck Burglarized, Crawfish Stolen

(Ville Platte, LA) -- It seem like anything can be stolen, including a truck-load of shellfish. Louisiana crawfish supplier Robert Floyd says sometime between 10 p.m. last Thursday and 3 a.m. Friday, someone broke the lock on the gate leading into his company, Central Crawfish. Floyd says they got into a delivery truck filled with 47 sacks of crawfish and made off with all the cargo. The stolen shellfish was worth about three-thousand dollars. Floyd was planning to deliver the load for Easter weekend. The suspects were not caught but Floyd plans to install cameras and an alarm system at his business to preclude a repeat performance.
