Teens Arrested For Stealing "Chipmunks" Statue From Movie Theater

Three Illinois teenagers have been apprehended in the case of a missing "Chipmunks" character. According to the "Chicago Sun-Times," the trio were arrested for stealing a four-foot statue of the character Simon on February 11th. The teens stole the statue from the Gurnee Cinema, which had been using the statue to promote the latest "Alvin and the Chipmunks" movie. The cops were able to locate the teens after one of them posted a comment on a social networking site that said they were going to take Theodore next. Authorities searched the teens' homes, and found Simon in one of the basements. All three kids have been charged with a local ordinance violation.
