Report: Conan Making Movie Moves With Upcoming Tour
NBC may have banished him from the small screen for the time being. But the contract rules didn't say anything about the big screen, and it appears that's where Conan O'Brien might be headed. Deadline.com says the former "Tonight Show" host is in talks to turn his upcoming comedy-music revue into a documentary feature. Just last week, O'Brien announced his plans to launch a 30-city tour called "The Legally Prohibited From Being Funny on Television Tour." According to Deadline.com, making a film would not violate the terms of O'Brien's exit from NBC which gave the funnyman a 33-million-dollar severance package to leave "The Tonight Show" after just seven months as host. The package included the stipulation that he stay off the television airwaves until the fall. O'Brien's "Legally Prohibited" tour kicks off April 12th in Eugene, Oregon.
