One of America's original "Easy Riders" is now immortalized on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Terminally-ill actor Dennis Hopper received his Hollywood Star in a well-attended ceremony on Friday. One of the big names outside Hollywood's Egyptian Theater for the unveiling was Jack Nicholson, whom Hopper directed and with whom he also co-starred in "Easy Rider" alongside Peter Fonda. "Blue Velvet" director David Lynch was also there, as were singers Johnny Mathis and Dwight Yoakam and actors Viggo Mortenson and Michael Madsen. "The Los Angeles Times" reports that Hopper thanked attendees, saying, quote, "Everyone here today that I've invited -- and obviously some that I haven't invited -- have enriched my life tremendously. They've shown me a world that I'd never seen, being a farm boy from Dodge City, Kansas."The unveiling followed reports that the 73-year-old's battle with advanced prostate cancer has left him near death.
