Hero Captain Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger Stops Flying

One of the most famous commercial airline pilots in the world is hanging up his wings. People.com reports that Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger (pictured left) is retiring. US Airways made the announcement on Wednesday. Sullenberger had taken a break from his commercial routes after saving the lives of 155 passengers by landing US Airways flight 1549 in the Hudson River after it was hit by geese in January 2009. Last fall, the 59-year-old began flying for the airline again in a limited capacity. Also last fall, "Sully" released his memoir, called "Highest Duty."
