Group Announces First Hall Of Fame Festival

(Ottumwa, IA) -- An Iowa community with an important role in the history of video games could see plenty of gamers later this year. International Video Game Hall of Fame organizer Dan Canny says the group will induct its first group into their hall of fame during a four-day festival in August. The "Big Bang 2010" event will feature music, autographs, seminars and more between August 5th and 8th. Ottumwa was the one-time home of an arcade managed by Walter Day, who is credited with creating the first list of "official" worldwide high scores for video games. The Twin Galaxies web site continues to track the best scores from around the world.
