Green Bay Sign Thieves Love "Mullet Place"

Drivers in search of "Mullet Place" in Green Bay, Wisconsin no longer need to look up to find their destination. That's because signs identifying the residential street are finally back at standard level, according to "The Green Bay Press-Gazette." This, after a "Mullet Place" street sign had been mounted high on a telephone pole in the neighborhood to deter thieves. A City Council member has now persuaded officials to give "Mullet Place" another chance. As a result, Green Bay has created new signs for the thoroughfare named for a hairstyle made famous by country star Billy Ray Cyrus. Chris Pirlot - public works operation manager for Green Bay - says there's already been one anonymous note warning that the newly-minted "Mullet" signs will again be swiped. Pirlot added, quote, "I don't know what's up. Maybe someone's part of the witness protection program and doesn't want people to know where they live."
