Darryl Worley Planning Another Iraq Trip
Darryl Worley is planning to return to Iraq to entertain the troops. He's slated to take part in the Stars For Stripes' "We've Not Forgotten" trek, during which he'll perform for members of the U.S. military stationed at a number of locations throughout the country. Some dates will feature Worley with his band, but the singer is also planning to play acoustic shows at special stops at remote Forward Operating Bases, which aren't often included on the celebrity tours. The "We've Not Forgotten" tour will run from April 29th through May 3rd. Worley, who's an Army veteran, notes, quote, "In some small way, this is just our way to say thanks in honor of their sacrifice, but it could never compare to what these soldiers do for us every day." He adds, quote, "Seeing their undying allegiance and loyalty to the cause is so inspiring. Those young men and women are so phenomenal and because of what they do, we are all very fortunate to have the lifestyle and freedom that we have." The trek will mark Worley's eighth trip to perform for troops in Iraq.
