Critically Wounded Cabbie Captures, Pins Robber
A cabbie in Zion, Illinois, was too tough for his attacker even after being shot five times on Saturday. Forty-four-year-old Patrick Foster took bullets to his face, neck and back at close range from a small-caliber, five-shot revolver. Zion police found the gun in the cab's back seat. Foster reportedly pinned the gunman beneath him until police arrived. He's listed in critical but stable condition at a hospital. Thirty-eight-year-old Darryel Garner of Waukegan was charged with attempted murder and aggravated battery with a firearm. He's being held on 750-thousand dollars' bond in the Lake County Jail.
