SOUP, STEW, CHILI FAVORITE COLD WEATHER MEALS

Soups and stews are tops when it comes to cold weather meals. According to an ongoing FoodNetwork.com survey, 53-percent pick the hearty concoctions as their "top dish for fighting the winter chill." Chili takes second on the list, with 35-percent preferring the bowl of the spicy stuff to help keep them warm. At a distant third place is Mac & Cheese, which only five-percent like on cold winter days. Casseroles are a close fourth option, and the dish of choice for four-percent of those polled. Pot pies are the favorite for three-percent to round out the list.
