Country Stars Singing For Haiti
Pam Tillis and Buddy Jewell are lending their voices to help Haiti. The country stars are among a group of performers and songwriters who participated in "'Hallelujah for the Red Cross," a special concert presentation of Handel's "Messiah." The charity event took place in Nashville Tuesday night. During a rehearsal Monday, Tillis told TheBoot.com, quote, "I just feel like it is the right thing to do." She added, quote, "If I can be some help for this, if I can help out someone in some way, then I am glad to be here." John Cowan and Mandy Barnett also contributed their voices to the performance, which took place at Nashville's Limelight Club. Money raised is earmarked for the American Red Cross' Haitian earthquake relief efforts.
