The Who is heavily-rumored to take the field at Super Bowl 44. "Sports Illustrated's" Jimmy Traina is reporting that the veteran British rockers will rock the Super Bowl's halftime show on February 7th at Miami's Dolphin Stadium. Traina said the NFL had declined comment with a rep for the league offering, quote, "When we have something to announce, we'll announce it." If the rumor is true, The Who would follow a high-energy performance by fellow Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Bruce Springsteen and E Street Band who rocked Super Bowl 43 in February 2009.Until February, The Who's frontman Roger Daltrey is staying busy on his "Use It Or Lose It" solo tour. Up next, the legendary singer plays The Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank, New Jersey on Tuesday.
