Darryl Worley Charity Event Raises 175-Thousand

Darryl Worley says he's thrilled with the success of this year's Tennessee River Run. He notes his 8th annual charity event brought in 175-thousand-dollars for the Darryl Worley Foundation, which will use the money to support the newly created Darryl Worley Cancer Treatment Center at the Hardin County Medical Center. Worley notes construction on the center is slated to begin soon, and the fresh influx of funds will make it possible to maintain the current timetable on the project's development. The singer hosted the Tennessee River Run in Savannah, Georgia over the weekend. Craig Morgan, former Lonestar frontman Richie McDonald, and Caitlin & Will joined Worley to perform during the four-day event, which also included a golf tournament, a five-K run, a kids' fishing tournament, and boat and motorcycle poker runs.
