From the Box Office: The Princess and the Frog Takes the Weekend by Storm!!
The number-one movie in the country is "The Princess and the Frog," which earned 25-million-dollars over the weekend. The fairy tale is a return to hand-drawn animation instead of the computerized artform for Disney. It knocked last week's top movie, "The Blind Side," down to second place. The football film starring Sandra Bullock earned 15-point-five million dollars. In third is the debut of the drama "Invictus," starring Morgan Freeman as Nelson Mandela, which brought in nine-point-one million dollars. Matt Damon co-stars alongside Freeman in the real-life story of Mandela's attempts to unite a post-apartheid South Africa through sports during his presidency. "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" fell to fourth, while Disney's "A Christmas Carol" starring Jim Carrey was fifth for the week.
